Tommy Jay has had a life-long ambition to be a performer. His grandmother reminded him it all started when he tried to rent the civic auditorium at age 13 to put on a show. He has performed in many community theaters over the years, sang in piano bars, and karaoke bars, hosted karaoke shows, played the role of master of ceremonies for civic events,sang in churches. Tommy has also performed at Johnny High's Country Music Review in Arlngton, Texas and at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth. Now that he is near retirement from the active work force, he is dedicating his energies entirely to the performing arts. Tommy has no formal music training and does not play any instrument which is absolutly "amazing" to the recordists who have worked with him,who say that he has "...one of the richest baritones they have ever heard."
