I can look back now and see God had a hand in all
my success, left home at age 17, with a cheap guitar and a 10th grade education, playing my guitar in Miami
Beach Flordia, yeah I ran away from home to play the blues because I got sick and tired of being a good ole church boy! Got tired of being a preacher's boy!
Man I got a taste of fortune and fame, and went madd
and got badd, and all the other stuff that came with it.
Got in the real mix, well they taught me in school that you should finish school and get your diploma, and all that stuff, then you would make a bunch of money, and education would cause you to live happy ever after: well I didn't finish high school, I don't have any degrees, But I did have a dream in my heart.
And my dream came true.
Playing my guitar and being on stage with the groups
that I use to dream about, and guess what? God granted me my dream! I played with every artist that I ever dreamed of! There I was on stage, in the dressing room getting ready to go on stage with the guys that I use to dream about when I was a little kid, there I was in the Apollo theater..traveling on the bus and flying in the air, and record companies PAYING ME to record..(yes that's right)! people paying their money to see that tall skinny man play that guitar! now ain't that something? I ain't paying
nobody to record me! Pay for my own Music? Pay for my
own recording session? All that work, And I gotta pay
you? you so crazy.
I ain't very educated, but I'm smart, I'm not very intelligent, but I ain't no fool.
Old country boy wrote three albumns for a nationally known Black Gospel Group called the High-Way que c's;
not bad at all.( not bad for a 10th grade education)
I got about 21 songs on the market as of now, (not bad for a 10th grade education).
A lot of places people trying to get to, I already been there, what's the hurry?
What really thrilled me was to hear my songs being
played on every black gospel radio station in the
United States....
I had the chance to play at the White House..
Took pictures with Governors, and all kind of big shots... signing autographs, All the sex I wanted,
money, and drugs served to me in royal fashion..
(Not bad for 10th grade education)
Even so, out of all my experience, I have noticed one thing, at least, it is good for people to eat, drink, sing, play, produce, show your talent, try to get discovered, get as many votes as possible, and enjoy your work under the sun during the short life God has given to you and me, and to accept your lot in life.
And it is a real good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. This indeed is a gift from God.
I'm just enjoying being a happy Free man.
There's is a serious tragedy I have seen, and it weighs very heavy on humanity. God gives some people great wealth and honor and everything they could ever want, but then He doesn't give them the chance to enjoy these things. They die, and someone else, even a stranger, ends up enjoying their wealth! this is a meaningless-a sickening tragedy.
Enjoy what you have rather than desiring what you don't have, Just dreaming about nice things is meaningless- like chasing the wind.

The Highway Q c's // Late Great Sam Cooke/ Lou Rawls/ Johnnie Taylor,/ all of us mixed around in that Gospel circle, paved the way for a lot of the others to sprout up, I BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT.
Back there in the day when we had the colored water fountain, and the white water fountain,
the colored bathroom, and the white bathrooms,
black people were not allowed to go in white owned resturants...yeah that's where I'm from...

Next time I hit the road I'm gonna take mama with me you can bet on that. It's rough out there!!
Go with God if you gonna do this music on the road thing, only the strong survive, the road aint for wimps.,., I'm talking about, 2000 miles from home, and you find yourself on stage in front of a multitude of strange faces nightly, and you had to rehearse on the bus in route to the show. Yeah. what do you sound like without all them sound effects turned off ??

Played with and traveled with many other artist, Doing a lot of studying, praying, increasing in the Knowledge of God, It's all about serving ya know, letting God teach me how to be a faithful steward around my own home first of all, it starts at home, get home straighten out, you can pretty much deal with the outside stuff, I am Repositioning myself. turning things around in a different direction. I am spending quality time with my Heavenly Father, developing a relationship with him, Finding out my true identity, and what my true purpose in this life is. Dedicating my talent to the King Of Kings , since I play for the King it's not much I can say about myself other than I must become less and He shall become greater, I have been given Exceeding Precious promises, and by these I am a partaker of his divine nature/.,./ check this part out I AM REDEEMED FROM THE CURSE OF THE LAW./'/. Now that's real good stuff, I'm grinning...I ain't no heathen anymore! I can really Love my Wife and don't cheat on her? Man that's a huge step for me. .. hey man it's working! My Wife really loves me...
I ain't the same old man I use to be, (defeated, worried, confused, hateful, greedy, lying, big headed, peverted, addicted), hey now,.,. I am a new creation, yeah me,., oh yeah
you feel me, I got new life, can I get a witness.
