Supported by Trip Cru Productions, the African Youth Choir from Hout Bay under the Direction of Emanuelle Twala (a Permanent member of the South African Navy Band) has stepped onto the Choral arena as a motivated and talented group of young people with a love for singing and making music. Emanuelle has been involved in social upliftment programmes endorsed by the Navy's Isivungu-vungu Project (Managed by R.Adml Koos Louw) for many years. The Youth Choir members are all young people from a previously disadvantaged community in the small town of Hout Bay near Cape Town. The choir is raising funds for an overseas appearance in Germany, and hopefully soon would be able to tour some of the concert halls of Europe. A debut audio cd is in the process of production, in between live concert appearances at choir competitions, and in local communitites.
