James Allen Parks, was born in a small town in North Carolina called North Wilkesboro,he began singing at the age of four in his church choir with a host of family members that wouldn't allow him to take his gifting for granted. All good and perfect things come from God and that became his driving force to achieve great things later in life.

He began singing with a group of family members at age 21 known as the Disciples for Christ where he played bass guitar and sang first tenor for five years. He then began singing with the Gospel Mellotones of Hickory, NC sharing the stage with groups like the Canton Spirituals, Slim and the Supreme Angels, Keith Wonder Boy, The Gospel Keynotes, Doc McKenzie just to name a few. He has been on several recording projects where he has sang lead as well as backgound vocals for Cornerstone Church, under Pastor Don Wales.

James is now owner of a small homebased studio that he has named Perfect Sound Studios, where he is currently arranging and producing his first Jazz CD.
