Biography
I have always loved to sing. Like so many young girls, I would sing & dance in my bedroom with a hairbrush for a mic.

In my early twenties I would listen to and sing along with the women of Classic Country. Whether it was Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, Crystal Gayle or Lynn Anderson I would spend hours playing their records over and over again. This is how I taught myself to sing.

I started singing in front of live audiences in the early 80's and have been singing and entertaining ever since. My first experience on stage in the club scene was on a dare & it turned out to be a disaster.

After that bad experience I was more determined than ever to do what I loved. I started going to Saturday matinee's & entering contests.

In the mid-eighties, I had my own band but we seemed to rehearse more than we entertained audiences so I left.

I got involved in the Karaoke craze when it was popular in the early 90's and created my own company along with a partner. I still sang occasionally at jams & open mic nights while working in clubs hosting Karaoke but Karaoke just wasn't where my heart was.
When I left the business I still went to jams and open mic nights to keep singing.

In 2008 with a little push from a good friend, I decided it was time to record but had no idea where to start. I was having problems getting it off the ground so I asked my good friend Hal Bruce of Halifax, Nova Scotia for advice. He was quick to volunteer to be my producer. Together with Scott Ferguson (engineering) & some other very talented musicians, my first CD “Out Of The Blue” came to life.

I wanted to make this CD the best it could be. My first thought was that wanted to have a completely original CD. I went in search of material as I'm not a songwriter. I was fortunate enough to find some amazing talent. Robert (Bobby) Johnston penned "Please Remeber Me" along with Brett McNaueal & Dan McVeigh, alomg with several other talented writers was responsible for 3 others including "You Are All I Dream Of". However, there were a couple of cover tunes that I just knew I had to do. One of them is an old blues tune by Patsy Cline. "Never No More" is one of my favorite songs to sing with it's sexy rhythm & a theme I can relate to.

From the bouncy tune of the "Lookiin'For A Love & It's You" to the haunting melody of "I Don't Need Your Memory", this CD has a sound that is reminiscent of Country Music in the 80’s - a sound which I feel could make a comeback. I'm sure even the most toughest of critics will find something they like.

I truly hope you like the little sampling I've given you.
