Biography
Marvil Lincoln Campbell a.k.a. Wappalous was born in Sommerton, St. James, on February 3rd, 1983. He grew up in the Providence of Flankers Heights where he attended St. James High School; Where he recognized his singing talent just before moving on to Excelsior Community College and got involve in voice training, which has enable him to take his singing ability to another level.

Wappalous listens to Artistes such as Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs, King Yellow Man, Bob Marley, Burning Spear, Culture, Shabba Ranks, Buju Banton, Mary J. Blige, R. Kelly, P. Diddy, Sanchez, Mr. Vegas, Beyonce just to name a few has influenced and developed his taste for the music.

In 1993, he made his first international appearance at ‘Sting’ and ‘All School Jam’ both held in Montego Bay. He took an hiatus and return in 2002.

Wappalous has graced the stage with prominent performing artistes such as: Bob Andy, Kymani Marley, the I-Three’s, Culture, Ken Boothe, Coco T, George Nook, Coco T, Gentleman, Morgan Heritage, Bunny Wailer, L.M.S, Luciano, Capleton, Morgan Heritage, Beres Hammond, Bennie Man, Bounty Killer, Elephant Man, Vibes Kartel, Gentleman, Sanchez, Anthony B, Richie Spice, just to name a few. While he performed on various shows such as tribute shows for the late Bob Marley, Sting, All School Jam, East Fest, Star Well, Unity Splash, among a few others.

To date he has recorded a number of songs such as “Watch de pum” by the group Money Maker Family consisting of himself, Lil Beeler, and Lyric Factory; “Fall on Top” on the “Champion Rhythm”; “Tonight is the Night” on the “Cross Over Rhythm” produce on the Stampede Label featuring the likes of “Anthony B”, “Jah Mason”, “Nitty Kutchie”, “Sizzla” and a few others.

Between the period of 2003 to 2004 he recorded a number of song on the Mac D Recording label such as “He will never”, “I’ve got to leave”, “It’s a Party”, “Don’t wont to be hurt no more”, “Can she come over” featuring Power man, “You and I”, and “A lot of mistake”, under the name ‘Marvelous Marvin’

Since 2004 he has recorded “Ababa Jon Hon I” (a cover version of the late Dennis Brown) on the Father Jungle Rock Rhythm alongside I-Wayne’s “Can’t satisfy her”; “High Grade” feat. Taz on the Sleng Teng Rhythm remake by King Jammy’s label; “Mamma I Love You” on the Kingly Character Rhythm produce by ‘DJ Wayne’ (Irie Fm Radio) on the “Purple Skunk Label. “One Step” on the Battlefield rhythm produced on John John Label; “Fall On Top” Produced by Stampede on the Champion Rhythm; “Slow Down” a Bobby Valentino’s cover version.

Wappalous is currently managed by Stampede Conglomerate Ltd. where he is recording a few tracks which will be on his soon to be released album, He also has a few tracks getting airplay on various radio and internet stations across the world as well as music videos on the local and international airwaves. Currently Wappalous has been performing at various events around the island including weddings, parties, concerts, shows. For booking of any event please contact Stampede Conglomerate Ltd.
