Wood Skin and Steel began playing music together at the beginning of 2008. We found a unique interplay of sounds and grooves. Mixing music styles of European Gypsy, African Drum Grooves, and Contemporary American Fusion Music - Wood Skin and Steel has a sound like no other band. Some of our influences are the Gypsy Kings, Oliver Mtukudzi, Ella Fitzgerald, Sam Cook, Django Reinhardt, The Police, Micheal Hedges, and Paul Winter.
