Xij creates music because he cannot stop himself. Born in Croydon, UK in the late 80s, he showed little musical promise as a child, though he would often spend hours in his bedroom on his keyboard, learning the melodies of songs he liked by ear.

Xij's musical journey began in earnest at age 15, when informed he was not allowed to learn the bagpipes. Grudglingly, guitar lessons where accepted as a compromise instead. Many years and failed thrash metal bands later, he decided to strike out on his own, given the opportunity to explore a frightening realm of limitless possibility within music, thanks to the acquisition of music software at age 19. He started to teach himself how to compose electronically, and what seemed like endless months of late nights, frustration and button mashing later, one morning he awoke and it was done. The current incarnation of Xij was born.
Drawing his inspiration from the collected sounds and cultural output of humanity, Xij creates a style of music quite familiar yet all his own.
