The Celebrators are a music group based in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico. The core of the group is Lisa York ( vocals & keyboards ) & Steve York ( bass and vocals ). From the USA, Lisa has worked with many internationally known artists including Alexander O'Neal, Cherelle, & Pebbles. She has also worked solo in China, Japan and Europe. Originally from England, Steve recorded and toured with many top UK artists including Robert Palmer, Manfred Mann, Marianne Faithfull, Elkie Brooks, and played on recordings with Eric Clapton, Pete Townshend, Ringo Starr, Mick Jagger and many others before moving to the US in 1981. US artists Steve has worked with include Laura Branigan, Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Dr John, Charlie Musselwhite and too many more to list here. For a full list please see steve biography & steve discography Lisa & Steve worked together as a duo for 15 years in Minneapolis, MN, USA and also played together in the bands of many national acts including The Drifters, Platters, Coasters, Fabian, Shirelles, Marvelettes, Del Vikings, Syl Johnson, Big John Dickerson and others.Steve was the recipient of the Minnesota Music Academy’s Award for Bassist in 1997, 2001, & 2005.Lisa & Steve were inducted into the Minnesota Country & Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2007.
