Bio
Biography of E-DRO Demetric Brown known as E-DRO began his rapping Career at the tender age of 9. Being a bit too young to make any major contributions to the rap game he knew his career path and choice. Growing up on the North East side of Washington, DC life was not easy for the aspiring rapper. Financial hardships plagued most of the black families in the area at the time. The school systems were less than satisfactory and crime was on the rise. At the age of 16 E-DRO began to embark on making his dream a reality. He began performing at local showcases and clubs around Washington as a solo artist and apart of several groups. At the time, he went by the name Equipp but in his adult life felt it was time for a change. It was time for him as a solo artist to manifest into what the world will now know as E-DRO. In 2000 E-DRO completed his first album DC Taken Over, but due to insufficient capital of the independent label he was signed to at the time, the CD was never officially released. In 2003 his career took noticeable leaps. Touring with the Seagram’s Gin Live 23 city tour with the group Lost on the Corner. The group opened the show for R &B singer Carl Thomas and R&B singer Lil Mo. In 2004 E-DRO was propositioned by another independent label by the name of Upper 11 records based out of the United Kingdom. Officially in 2006 E-DRO signed with the newly formed independent label. The album was scheduled for release late 2006. When the release of “Er Day Hustle” failed to materialize E-DRO went into negotiations with the label. April 2007 after all negotiations failed the company and E-DRO decided to part ways. E-DRO has had the opportunity to perform in several venues in the United Kingdom. Performing on the Bigger than Hip Tour featuring such artist as Dead Presidents and Big Daddy Kane with DJ L.E.S as his DJ. He also performed as the only US Artist on the venue at the Urban Music Awards featuring Maxi Priest and Craig David in 2005. With features in Invincible Magazine, Hip Hop Connection and several internet blog’s by various freelance writers, musicians and engineers, E-DRO has managed to make a name for himself in the United Kingdom. From my Hood to Your Hood a mix tape produced by DJ L.E.S was released on the underground market in early 2007. Receiving much praise for the collaboration by the United Kingdoms Hip Hop Connection Magazine, free lance writer Isabelle Esling and Colourful Radio’s Julie Ann Ryan. E-DRO proclaims he has been blessed to work with some of the industries best producers, engineers and singers; Grammy Award winner Ken Lewis, UK Producer Phazed Out, NAS DJ, L.E.S., The Beat Team, video director Gil Green and so many more. Expect only great things from this artist in the future. He is a breath of fresh air to an industry in need of a voice and character of such a talented individual. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
