[color="green"]Hey, We changed our name from Magenta to Oh The Glamour a while ago, well now we're called Magenta again, we just got sick of it. ENJOY.[/color] Magenta is a new "Rock" band to the Dublin Scene. (Front man Stevin, Bassist Kevin, Guitarist James and Drummer Eddie) The Quartet formed in the small isolated village of Rush in late April 2006. The name came from a conversation between front man Stevin and one of his idols Sam Forrest (at a Nine Black Alps gig) Nice... Its something beyond and distant from the loud/quiet/loud/louder music, with rough edges and a sarcastic/cynical feel to it. Nothing like the fun loving guys in the band....... After a successful 2006, a year of which the band gigged to its bitter bones, got good reviews and write ups in local newspapers, won second place against Unite Tribe in "The Coyote Battle of the Bands" and had interviews and acoustic performances on radio shows PURE PHASE and NEAR FM SHOWCASE.
