The History of Silver Serpent The band officially formed in late January 2000 with members: Arran McLellan, Ross McLellan, And Sefton Kimberley-Downes. The original style of music was 'Indie rock'. As time went on the style became more alternative rock. The band has had several different names but till recently was known as 'Shadowfax', but since discovering a band in America also called this the name was changed to 'Silver Serpent' in September 2003. The Band played it's first gig in June 2001 at the Army and Navy in Chelmsford in Essex. Since their frist gig the band has released three e.p's all funded, and designed completely by the band, 'Fly Away' was chosen to be made in to Silver Serpent's first music video, This was again funded and designed by the band, The music video incorporates computer animated 3D graphics with live footage. 'Fly Away' was released on Mp3.com getting to number 24 in it's alternative music chart. Silver Serpent has played top London venues... 'The Carling Bar Academy' in Islington. The 'West One Four' club Camden's infamous' The Bull and Gate' Other gigs include 'The Harlow Square' Harlow 'The Twist' in Colchester 'The Cellar' in Bracknell
