Born in Brussels, soul and pop artist SOWFI began singing at the age of eight. Her passion for music and her desire to pursue a career, as a singer was first influenced by the Nikka Costa’s hit “On my own”. At sixteen, she met with hip-hop artist Jucy Junior for who she hammered a rather hot vocal track “You’ve got me knocked out” out on CNR in 1991. Later down the road, she started working with BC and the Basic Boom in Antwerp, then with several studios and recorded some dance tracks as the remake of Christal Waters. At seventeen, she used to work with Ben Suys from Tune Top Productions. By 1993, the POP/ROCK album “BLIZ” was out in Asia and although it did not gain success as hoped for, she remained busy using her vocal talent in the studio for background performances like “Socca dance” and lead vocals for French hip-hop rappers like Daddy-K, U & I Sensual, Little Star, Amethiste. After a sabbatical period of about five years, she went back into the studio fuelled with the desire to further her artistic achievements. With the collaboration of Lionel the engineer, the amazing guitar player Xavier Cevrin who's has a bit of Santana’s sound style, JD and her new wonderful and talented partner Daniel Garcet, the “Never 2 Late” album is now ready to get out soon !! “I’m self confident.
