Fish Out Of Water is Paul O Toole's latest band. Born in Dublin, and playing Dublin and arround Ireland in a homegrown traditional and folk band he left for the States on a two week trip which lasted 14 years, he has now returned to live...and play. With a background in Irish traditional music and working arround the Hollywood/Los Angeles music scene he honed his craft to release six albums on Scotti Bros./Backyard Records(L.A), and Cargo Records(SanDiego) distributed by BMG. With "The Young Dubliners"-Irish celtic rock, and later "Stand", folk/rock, O'Toole toured the US and Canada Sharing bills with Shane McGowan (Pogues), Johnny Lydon(sex pistol), The Dixie Dreggs(Steve Morse), Concrete Blonde, Christy Moore, The Fureys and The WolfeTones,and recording in Abbey Road London with Producer Steve Albini(Pixies/Nirvana), having written songs featured in flims, TV and radio he is now returned home.... ..Content at first to pick up from where he left off in the Irish folk scene something happened. He was driven to write again in in the aftermath of the events of 11th of September 2001. The fact that Bush and Blair had previously planned to attack Iraq and use the WTC collappse as a pretext with no accountability for their war-crimes is beyond comprehension. And, that.."the Irish Government participate and support this genocide legalised by the U.N. is reprehensible to anyone with a consience you would think - would you not?" The release of his acclaimed solo EP album "From Shannon With Love" on Milestone Records is being followed with a full album in the making. He is presently finishing the score for a real life documentary/drama due for release on Irish TV on March 18th..."a collection of tunes and a few poinient songs.... A date is to be set for the release of his latest Album....."Bread And Circus"....is a polaroid of modern Irish life through the eye of a perturbed cynic....
