Born and raised in the streets of Avondale in Cincinnati, Ohio, C. Jay Dinero fell in love with hip-hop from the moment he heard it coming out of his Pops speakers early in the morning.” My father was hip-hop ya’ dig. I came up listening to KRS-One, LL Cool J, Too Short, Public Enemy, NWA, Pac, B.I.G., Nas, Rakim, and Hov, just to name a few.” Although he had been listening to rap since he came out the womb, it wasn’t until Tupac’s Me Against The World that C. Jay Dinero wanted to start rhyming himself. “My nigga Woodgrain was the main nigga who got me to start writing. We was 10, 11 years old and we used to just sit around when we wasn’t out running the streets and write raps and shit. We used just imitate the other rappers. My nigga Nell is the one who got us in the studio to record. We were 14 and 15 then, so we had been thru our own experiences with the streets and dope game, so we were able to tell our own stories. I started taking this shit serious though around 17.That’s when other niggas started telling me I was nice. I used to be battling niggas at school, freestyling for the bitches on the back of the bus.” C. Jay Dinero ended up joining the military in 2002.While in the Navy he continued to pursue his music career but he still wasn’t sure if it would pop or not. “I was focused on money and my family at the time. I kept writing and shit every chance I got, but I had got a family so a nigga had bigger priorities. I just kept at it though because I knew this was something I really wanted to do.” Now out of the military, C. Jay Dinero is ready to introduce himself and his label STREET MONEY ENTERTAINMENT to the world. C. Jay Dinero’s debut mixtape “[i][b]The Young, Fly & Getting’ Money Mixtape Vol.1[/b][/i]" hosted by up and coming Cincinnati DJ, DJ Skinny Fresh, has been well received by the streets. Still not satisfied, Dinero is hard at work on the second edition to The Young, Fly & Getting’ Money Mixtape and on his debut album titled [i][b]Public Service Announcement[/b][/i]. C.
