Update: October 10, 2007. Another song to fall on deaf ears: Moving into Dream...unclassifiable by me but sonme have called it countryish or folky rock...me? I think of it as a classical thing with the guitar and piano swirling around in some kind of concerto way. NEW SONG (July 10): Girl in the World. It's about harmonics and portmanteau puns. Steve Conlon is an independent artist who records and produces his own songs that range between rock, pop, folk, world, country, punk, acoustic. He worked for years booking independent and alternative bands at the Sandringham and the Landsdowne in Sydney Australia. "Entangled Voices" was recorded in MM Studios in Bangkok, Thailand. It was engineered by Orarinth. Written, performed and produced by S. Conlon. The songs are an attempt to NOT sound like anyone else. The TWO NEW SONGS I've added this week are: "Hysterically Back to Me" a Country Punk Honky Tonk song. "To Stevie"...a letter song to a friend Stevie Plunder who died under unfortunate circumstances. It is actually more an attempt at classical music with a four part harmony from the Tudor church music or early baroque periods...the harmonies are my idea of what hell sounds like with all the voices swirling around, possessing each other, drowning each other and finally uplifting you into another place...whatever that may be. Some people seem to be unclear about what I'm doing...hence the explanation. HOMEPAGE: myspace.com/stephenconlon More songs and some blogs about the songs are on the myspace site. I've often been told that my stuff is unclassifiable in terms of genre and style...I like that, but it's hard for me to select a genre to put my work out onto this site. Any views on this are really welcome. Needless to say: all songs are copyright 2006
