Dwayne Toland known as Linwood Weezee was born October 8,1989 raised in Detroit, MI. Growing up on both sides of the city he is known by many. Linwood began rapping as early as 9 years old and found this was his craft at the age of thirteen when he started writing his own music. He did his first live performance at his grandmothers homegoing in 2003, from then on it has been a journey. With his father being a producer and working with many mainstream industry artists, he was always more into showing that this is what he wanted to do so the grind and strive was there and til this day it still is. He recorded his first song under the M.M.E Label “Ain’t Shit changed” which was on the Quick Flip Vol.1. Weezee has worked with various artist such as N2L's JACK TRIPP (REST IN PEACE) forever missed, N2L's Deezo AKA Fresh Money who both joined the M.M.E family, Art Decc, Ice (Money Maker CEO), Young Tay, Hollywood Jay, Melly Mel Jack Tripp, Vedo (Black Parade) Sean Knots (10.5 Ent.), Buddie Montana(Real Street Entertainment and a few more Artist from the city which you can find on the M.M.E Compilation from 2007. In 2009 he made a big transition moving from Detroit to Atlanta, Georgia to work with different artist. The time he stayed he worked with HD The Movement, touched basis with Young Ralph, Big Tate, and a few other local artists. Later in 2009 he returned back home to Detroit where he began making a buzz working with various artist and promoters such as Ms. Murda (TEAM MURDA), Shon Wil (Rap Art), DjBj Mr. 2535 (Hot 102.7), and a host of others. Linwood is known for his strong ability to put his lifestyle and life happening events into his music to represent or to have a message and story to familiarize himself to his listeners. He makes music for the struggle and the ones who grew up the way he did. He is inspired by great artists such as the late Biggie, Young Jeezy, Wiz Khalifa, and Yo Gotti. His whole theme is “From the bottom to the Top”, From the basement to the Penthouse”, which is the title of his debut album not yet scheduled to drop but is shooting for 2012.
