Ay yo, I'm Michael Cartwright or as my friends call me, MC Syke! I'm fourteen and an aspiring "white" rapper. I hate labeling myself due to my color. I do not believe in labeling people due to their color. I believe the only things you need to hit it big up in the industry is skill and credibility. You need to have skill and need to be credible. If you rap 'bout bein' a G and you ain't, then you ain't credible. However, if you are a G than rap 'bout it 'cuz you're credibly a G. Like for me, I'm a rapper who has suffered a lot of pain. My credibility is the pain I have suffered. I rap about my life and the pain I have suffered. I rap about things important to me. You will rarely hear something from me that don't have somethin' to do about my life. If I'm clownin', you'll know. I'll make it funny. It'll be something to make it obvious I'm just clownin'. I hate bein' stereotyped 'cuz of my color. And all of the shit people say to me. It's stupid. Color doesn't matter. We are all equal right? Than show it. I have major skill and as I go, I prove it. Inch by inch. A stressful process... but rewarding. I am a giant G-Unit and Eminem fan. Eminem has to be one of my favorite artists. Tupac right above. Eminem however, I talk about most often. His music has inspired me and you will plainly see that. Now, my style and voice are my own. But, you will see how he has been of some influential power in my rap career. I am currently working on my first album, The Cartwright LP. It has around ten to eleven tracks. All have something to do about my life or something I forgot to mention, religion. I do "Christian Rap". Songs like My Generation are some of the best Christian songs I have produced on the LP. My Generation is also one of the most popular among my homies. To give you a hint of what I sound like, think deep... like black man deep. That would be how my voice sounds like. Though I can change it depending on the style of rap I'm doing. I can sound like Eminem or have a lil' different accent to it, but basically the same voice. Eminem one is only real exception. Almost sounds exactly like Eminem's voice. I have a lot of friends who enjoy my raps and a lot of haters. It comes with the turf. I'm white so many people believe it's fuckin' funny to joke me 'cuz of it. I could name every played out white joke I've heard. The shit has been played out. Seriously. I have a large anger at times and can also easily become depressed. My emotions influence the type of mood I'm in when rapping. If I'm angry, be sure to hear a deep angered rap. If I'm depressed, be sure to hear a deep rap about why and such. I'm deep. Period. Well, that pretty much sums be up. The only other thing is, if I get signed, I hope and pray it's by Shady Records. I want to rap next to Eminem and 50 Cent and the soon to be, greatest rappers alive in rap. I think I could add more to the fame and popularity of Shady Records. In fact, I know it. Well, peace out! ~MC Syke~
