A big THANX goes out to the webmaster and staff here for continously working at keeping a great site fun and friendly to members and guests as well. Let's all give them a big five!!! There are a lot of very impressive artists here. Please, PLEASE, take the time to hear the music and keep coming back. A word to the rest of You true artists here! You will not Find the following on my profile: 1. Profanity. I don't have to swear to get my point across. 2. Sample tracks. The music You hear on my profile is me and other professionals that I know personally. 3. Karoake. Never liked it, never will. Fact of the matter is, I am just not good at it! There are, however, a lot of great arists here that ARE so be sure and give them their credit!!!!! My theory on rating: I only give two ratings 5 or nothing at all. There are a lot of artists here that deserve 10s. But we can't do that. HERE'S how You get a five: 1. Be unique. 2. When leaving comments, don't tell me You gave me five. That leads me to believe that You scrolled and didn't really listen to what I am. You were just seeking self praise as a trade off. 3. Present yourself as a professional. Does that really need any explanation? As far as not giving a rating at all, If I can't give You a five, then I am not going to rate at all. I KNOW RATINGS COUNT! Just because I may not like Your music, does not give me the power to say that you don't deserve a good overall rating. There are a lot of great entertainers here, let's all be friends!!!! Generic comments. If You didn't take the time to listen and can't come up with something unique to say about mine, or anyone elses music, then then don't bother pasteing your comment here! I will delete it anyway. I spend hours listening to songs over and over again here. If I placed a comment on Your profile, it was heartfelt. Nuff Said? And BTW!!! If You are one of these folks who rates someone as a 1 just to keep them from moving up charts, You're prolly not gonna get anywhere anyway. KHARMA WILL CATCH YOU!!! A rarity among entertainers! The vocals will impress You, but the energy will keep You comin’ back for more. An only child from the backwoods of East Texas, Macon, as he’s known by friends and fans, spent a lot of his younger years with nothing more than a pocket transistor radio and a fishing pole. He enjoyed and studied the heroes of the era while crooning along in harmony, whether it be rock, pop or country. Some of his favorite artists were, and still are, Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams, James Taylor, Jim Croce, Skynnard, Marshall Tucker Band, the Allman Brothers, Stealer’s Wheel, Chicago…the list goes on and on. The diversity of these many artists only adds character and appeal to his shows. Macon can charm You with new spins on old favorites that will never sound the same to you on the radio again. Somewhere in the mid 1990s, he finally got his first pawn-shop guitar and the world of live music and entertaining became a way of life. Self-taught, he picked, grinned, and forged his way forward toward becomig the musician he had always dreamt of being. Within two years, Macon was stealing the show at pick-arounds, campouts and tailgate shows all over East Texas. Campfire settings have always been his stage of choice, but he’s at home performing for five or five thousand. His energy and character lend extra excitement and enamour crowds with his vocal talent and in-your-face presentation! The road to here has led him in many different directions. Starting out as a solo artist, he quickly attracted the attention of numerous other esteemed East Texas Musicians. It wasn’t long until MayDay was formed with Jim Day. MayDay’s first CD, on which he and Jim recorded all original material, led to countless festival and club appearances. Macon was also included as keyboardist and songwriter with the established group Standing Flat. Their “Born To Shine” CD includes two original Macon masterpieces. Following a two year interruption in his career, Macon has returned to the Texas Music scene and is taking Central Texas by storm. With a wholehearted vengeance, he is currently pushing such hits as “Cold Keystone”, “Wind on the River”, “Somewhere Tonight”, and “Something ‘Bout A Waltz”. Get Macon, He ain't fakin!!!
