T-West's extraordinary vocal abilities were first noticed as a very young child, when she stunned her church congregation with strong soprano notes that would rival those of most veteran singers. She performed in several local venues and eventually joined a group as the lead singer. She was heavily influenced by such greats as Patti LaBelle, Sade, Anita Baker, Angela Winbush, Stephanie Mills, Chaka Kahn, Luther Vandross, Prince, Michael Jackson, Phillip Bailey, and El Debarge. As a result, T-West has developed a soothing and effortless, yet dominating style that integrates savvy lead vocals with limitless range, intriguing lyrics and dramatic harmonic hooks that manipulate her powerful, yet seamless trumpet-like voice. Focusing on her education, T-West sparingly performed thoughout high school and college. With her bachelor's degree in hand from Hampton University, she was able to make music her top priority. T-West had her solo debut with the release of the maxi-single, COBB'S CREEK PARK/NO WAY. And now, her magnificently diverse 16 track CD, I WANNA SING FOR YOU, is set for release. T-West studied acting and modeling to further utilize her shapely 5'7", 140lb. frame and striking features. She became SAG eligible by appearing in two feature films, three Network TV shows and a TV pilot. She has modeled in several fasion shows. Along with writing all of the songs on her CD, T-West has also written a TV pilot. When asked of her ultimate career goal, T-West replied, "To have timeless works!
