About AS IZ Sypha a.k.a. SYP Born Russell Wimbish Jr. at University of Maryland hospital on April 21, 1984. Son of Russell Wimbish Sr., and Pamela A. Averette, he is the eldest of three children by the two. Was raised in your typical lower middle class family on the Westside of Baltimore. He lived with both of his parents until the age of 8, until his parents decided to end their relationship. They ultimately decided that it would be best that he remain with his father, with whom he could learn more from. From childhood to the age of 12 he grew up on Winchester and Poplar Grove, residing in his grandparents house. Where he began attending Alexander Hamilton Elementary School and then Calverton Middle School. Due to poor grades and his father feeling as though he would succumb to the influence of the streets, he thought it would be best to move elsewhere. Moving to Owings mills in 1996, he had to attend Deer Park Middle school for the remainder of his 7th and 8th grade years. Once again his father moved the family to Randallstown, so that he could attend Randallstown High. During the summer before the start of his freshman year, one of his friends influenced him to start learning how to rap. So when he started crafting his skill, it was as if it were natural, he soon became one of the best lyricists in the group of 4. He then began writing his first album titled Gotta Make It which was never produced, yet was a stepping-stone in his young career. So by the time he started school, he had already written 32 songs. His 9th and 10th grade flew by quickly; he was your average B/C student, very popular throughout the school known as Weezy Jr. It wasnt until 11th grade that he and a few of his friends started leaving school early to record some of the music they had written. Finding out through one of his teachers, his father once again withdrew him from the school and transferred him to Owings Mills High School, where he finished the remainder of his 11th grade year. Due to developing problems between him and his father, he chose to leave the house and move back in with his mother. Residing in Woodlawn he started his 12th grade year at Woodlawn high School. Maintaining the attitude that he would be the first one in his family to graduate high school, he attended day school and night school in order to graduate. After graduating he moved back into the city, where he lived with sister from 2002-2005, it wasnt until then his life really began. During this time period he realized that he was always taught hard-work breeds success. He then started focusing on his career in music, and began working and hustling in order to provide the funds that would be needed. Following the rules of the streets and making a name for himself around the neighborhood, he then traveled back and forth from Garrison Blvd. to Poplar Grove St. In which, he started building his clientele and giving the hood a taste of the future to come. They embraced the music with open arms, because it was something they could relate to. It wasnt until the fall of 2005 with the guidance of his mother he chose to go to college, in order to advance his knowledge. Currently he is attending Bowie State University, in pursuit of a bachelors degree in Business Administration, with the dream of one day having platinum album success. "Antmo" Born Anthony Roberts on June 2, 1988 Antmo was raised on the north eastside of Baltimore where his love for music began at an early age. His aunt who did not allow him to have a television in his room caused him to listen to the radio all the time. Eventually his constant listening to music caused him to want to know how the music was made, He started by joining his school band in the fifth grade where he played the snare drum and many other percussion instruments. His rapping came into play in 2000 when he was on a trip to New Jersey with a close friend who had played a CD of a local rap group, which was when Antmo wondered why not him. He wrote his first song ever that weekend which was titled They Jealous which was him just rapping about the stuff he heard on the radio all day which was about cars, jewels and money. The next week he decided to start his own label and included his whole sixth grade class. The label had singers, rappers, producers, and songwriters; we didnt know what we were doing says Antmo we just knew we wanted to make music. Antmo leaving the school in seventh grade caused him to lose contact with many of his classmates who shared his dream. The next year Antmo met a fellow MC at school who helped him develop his flow and introduced him to the music of Jay-Z who later became his role model. His newly develop flow had him battling classmates who were impressed with the skill of this twelve year old kid and gained him the respect of other lyricists in his class. When Antmo skipped the eighth grade he entered were he began to battle more and met friend and producer Ace who helped him get more into the field of production which he quickly came to love. Making beats and rapping everyday from the time he got home from school to the time he went to sleep. This work ethic caught the eye of fellow Baltimore rapper Superior of Gutta Entertainment which is were Antmo began to become a serious lyricist and a incredible for his age. Recording songs every week made him realize that music was his dream and that he really wanted to have a successful career in it. Outside of music Antmo had a major part of his life change, he met who his father who he had only met one other time in his life. I really wanted to succeed a lot more because I wanted my father to see that his son was doing something with his life says Antmo. Him rapping and being in school at the same time caused problems between him and classmates and caused his grades to shift. The conflict with classmates was caused by rap battles which were a frequent occurance in his school and his grades started to slip because from recording and working on music more than doing homework. Antmos senior year of high school came where he began to work with a lot of artists and producers such a Nez, Soul Reaper, and A-Wall just to name a few. He also began his own label Spitfire Productions where he released mixtapes and began recording songs with two new rappers named D.Battle and J.Sparks who had never recorded a song. The three did two mixtapes and Antmo and D.Battle did one mixtape before he went away to college. His freshman year of college was a good year for Antmo in the field of music, he met rapper Sypha, illusion, and AP Tha Hot Spitta, who recorded two volumes of their Get Your Weight Up series which gained them some buzz at their school and on the internet. When he left school he began producing tracks for AP, and Sypha as well as recording demos with different artists. The rest of 2007 looks to be promising to Antmo
