Bio
S.M.A.S.H. As an adolescent he was in and out of trouble. Subsequently, by the age of fifteen he was sent to a juvenile detention center and committed to a term of two years. Like many other young juvenile offenders he was released with a G.E.D. ,no trade and unfortunately no where to go. Nonetheless, he was determined to find that calm they say comes after the storm. Writing has always been his passion since he was able to write. First it was drawing cartoon characters then he grew a love for graffiti letters. Shortly after that he started writing short stories and poems which local people grew to love. He started selling theses short stories and poems on NYC trains and local neighborhoods. He would grow to become very familiar on. "Music just dropped in my lap" is the words from S.M.A.S.H. Himself. One day I just started writing rhymes and hopped in a few ciphers in da' hood people went crazy. S.M.A.S.H. Decided to enroll in college and major in advance accounting while honing his craft. He began attending open mics, networking with local DJ's, and speaking at Special Education schools for troubled youth. Writing songs became a major focus for S.M.A.S.H. He addresses topics rarely discussed in HIP-HOP. It's what separates him from the rest; he isn't afraid to write a song about a woman in pain or convey how society is viewed by Urban America. S.M.A.S.H. Is not limited to a particular style of writing...He is versatile and constantly creating. His topics are of substance and always seem to convey that there is a reason to believe despite the obstacles one may encounter in the midst of their journey...and he's just begun...
