Bio

Community is Ste-Genny's Singing Ministry group. We are a group of people, young and old, who love music and love singing. We employ a wide variety of instruments, guitars, drums, flute, musical keyboard, bass, and various hand held instruments. We perform songs with the congregation each Baptism Sunday and participate in "circle time" with the Sunday School to teach them a new theme song. We also take part in special services such as the Christmas pageant and Christmas Eve service. At least once a year we organize a coffeehouse, with proceeds divided equally among a chosen local charitable organization, a church-related project, and Community itself. Groups that have received funding include West Island Palliative Care hospital, Old Brewery Mission, VON, West Island Citizen Advocacy, AVATIL Center for Development, VOBOC Foundation, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
