Franklin are a South African rock band that have been based in Ireland since 2003. Franklin were discovered in South Africa playing a local venue in Sun City called "Trader Horns" and were approached BMF Management. They decided to move to Ireland and started to perform on a full time basis. They gained a lot of experience in the more internationally exposed European marked and released their debut single entitled "You" that charted in the Irish top 20 . In the summer of 2004 they toured and performed at festivals like Oxegen, Michelstown and the biggest of them all; O2 In The Park in front of 100,000 people. The band later got the opportunity of a lifetime with a chance to support multi-platinum recording alternative rock group "Incubus" (one of the bands all-time favourites) in The Point Depot in Dublin. The band are currently working an average of six gigs a week and constantly writing & performing their own original songs, as well as cover versions of well-known modern rock classics. One of the hardest working bands in Ireland, Franklin are busy setting up their next big venture: working for their chance of an international release.
