Bio
Music is my life. My love for Hip-Hop started when I was in the 5th grade. I can remember walking up and down the hallways at school free styling as my friends followed behind, that was when I knew I had something good going. I started entering talent shows showcasing my skills as an entertainer. In my hometown of Tyler, TX. I would always qualify in the top of the competition. As I got older Rap got more and more popular. Once I was in high school I started rapping with my first group called Outlaws, the group members were Kenneth Clark and LaKendrick Kennedy. We made some noise and underground LP and performed one of the songs at Tyler Junior College Hype Night and won 2nd place. The LP was a successful, it help me realize what the concept of music was all about. I then started working with another group project with Eric Tuner, Ced McGee, Willie Bailey, and David Thompson better known as OutRaje. We recorded two singles that turned out to be a local success. In 1998, my senior year at John Tyler High School we auditioned for a local music manager by the name of Kenneth Jordan that was looking for new talent. He loved our audition tape and agreed to set up a recording contract under his label Big Thang Productions. It was suppose to be a group project but do to minor issues it ended up being my 1st solo album. I went to work with young, new, and hot producers like Erotic D from Dallas, Texas, Kill’Em Dead Productions from Tyler, Texas, Amari Jihad Productions form Forth Worth, Texas, and E-World Entertainment. We dropped the album summer of 1999, it too was a success. We recieved immediate radio play from 106.9 in Gilmer, TX. with our hit single, “Big Thangs”. The momentum of the album was going great until some legal issues pummeled the flow. With a new album out and no management team to promote or market the album I used my own money to start my own label. In 2001 I started CountryBunkin Productionz based in Tyler, TX. The 1st artist on the label, Lil Trill a young and upcoming artist that proved himself to be capable of jump starting the label was a savior. In 2002 my Co-Executive Producers Lamont Johnson, Napolean Nicholson, and I arranged for Lil Trill to record his album at Dub 1 Studio in Dallas, TX. Steve Paul, the producer of the album mixed and mastered the project and Midwest Records in Richardson, TX. manufactured. Trill was the showcase in several local contests and was the opening act for artist like Paul Wall and Camillionaire. Trill also appeared and won many amateur night radio competitions on 102.7 the BLAZE. But, again do to some legal issues with the artist the album never reached its’ full potential. I sat on my dream for a year until I relocated to Houston, TX. in 2003. Once in Houston I networked to find the music scene. In 2006 all my questions were answered and what is now in the making was begun. I linked together with three Houstonians that had access to the hottest producers in the area. I then started working on my sophomore album at Track Down Productions with MJ and Davo two hot producers in Houston. I also recorded tracks from an associate of mine in New York, NY. Brandon Beal at Dub 1 Studio. I’ve been collaborating with numerous producers and artist in completion of my new album COMING SOON!!!!!! So far I’ve performed at NICO’s Social Club in Tyler, TX. Surf Shack in Houston, TX. Club Diamonds in Lake Charles, LA., Club Ice in Tyler, TX. and many other local night clubs. No matter the audience I’m an artist that loves to reach all faces of society through my music. So strap on your seatbelt as I take you on a MUSICIAL ADVENTURE. http://www.myspace.com/bobbynick2
