Hazelle, born Hazel Mwayi Robyn Makunganya on 19 October 1987(middle child of three Camille the eldest, and Michelle the youngest), is a Malawian born but British raised Singer, Songwriter, and Dancer with influences from Pop, RnB, Soul, Rock and Dance. Makunganyas dream was influenced by her Father, who believed every child had the right to pursue their dreams when he enrolled her to dance school where she studied Ballet, contemporary and street dance for 4years. Hazelle describes “At this point I knew the arts were for me I was jumping around, singing practicing, in front of the mirror hoping that someday I will be a star” tragically this dream was interrupted when her father tragically died. The Malawian/British Beauty began her music career at the age on 11 in Malawi performing for various events such as ‘Miss Malawi’ functions etc. Hazelle’s efforts at such a tender age were noticed by Malawian entertainers association and also Channel O (Africa’s version of BET and MTV) she appeared in various News paper articles nationwide and on the television screens of Malawi as young ‘wonder’ an ‘entertainer in the making.’ In 2000 Hazelle moved to the UK set her in the right path in pursuing her love of music the talented young unsigned singer began her music career with Production Company LBX after being discovered at an audition on 23 of June 2006 at the tender age of 18.Since then the LBX family has flourished ‘oozing’ with talent.
