PRESS RELEASE; CONTACT INFORMATION : T MIC B ENTERTAINMENT, www.myspace.com/tmicb music.blackplanet.com/tmicb RELEASE DATE : 8-14-2007 T MIC B ENTERTAINMENT MAKES REGIONAL DEBUT St. Paul, MN -- T Mic B Entertainment ushers in a new era in Hip-Hop with T MIC B'S TRUE GHETTO STORIES. A collection of street & personal experiences set to original music in a Urban Contemporary setting. The backround texture and scenery gives a pefect atmosphere for the lyrics with sound effects and street noise throughout the CD that makes it sound like he's telling each story as it's happening. From detailing the struggles of Taxicab life in DIPPIN & BACK ROUTES, to denouncing violence, drug dealing & misogyny in TRUE PLAYS,GHETTO STORY, THE NEW SURVIVAL & (the controversial)PORCH MONKEYS, to the outcry & plight of female victims on JANE DOUGH & LADY OF SCORN. This is not the typical subject matter of bravado & excess displayed by most of today's artist. There are also testaments of lessons learned on songs like WHO SPIKED THE PUNCH?,THE SKOOL OF KNOCK HARDS & NEVER SAY FOREVER and even playful anthems of urban fun on DOLLA STO, YA WRONG GIRL, PLAY TIME & PLUGN. Each song has it's own statement and purpose in the over all theme of a sort of ghetto news report. Low in curse words, high on respect and honor the goal of this artist is to elevate the plane the Rap community lives on right now,"We all got hard times & struggles, there's no reason to take it out on each other". A statement made on the long version of PLAY TIME, is the consistent overall mission stated throughout this project. T MIC B Entertainment will continue this theme in projects to come. We have no desire to become another company just out for a buck, with no conscious in dealing with the message's we are delivering and/or portraying. Our goals in the future are to celebrate and embrace diversity, elevate out of confrontation & violence and create a code of honor in the sreets we live in today. We think one of the things we have to start doing is look into our own creativity and challenge ourselves to not cop-out in our lyrics. It's easy to rhyme "Nigger with Trigger", "Bitches in Ditches" and say Mutha F this and Mutha F that. I challenge all TRUE LYRICIST'S to elevate beyond the ignorant precedent this has set for many years now. Vow to progress in subject matter and slang that we might advance to a higher lyrical standard that I already adhere to and practice! We will also create our own network of outlets to sell our material. Of course we will be available at most music retail venue's. But we are going to create are own distributing network with Street Corner Stores, Taxicab Drivers, Rollerskating Rinks, and yes; Dollar Stores. We will sell at these outlets ahead of the normal release dates at a discount price to no.1:Target direct to our market, and no.2: give the people we talk about first chance at our material and in a sense KEEP IT GHETTO!!
