Magic Moments Start Here. LightSource began as a project at home two years ago,at which time it wasnt called LightSource,infact it wasnt called anything,it was just me playing with different sounds and experimenting with different music styles,ive always had music in my life from a very young age and learnt to play the drums at the age of 3,which back then involved mums saucepans and plates and of course spoons as drumsticks. I got my first keyboard at 6,it was a casio one and was very small and white with little square keys,im sure if your into music at all you know what im talking about,i think everybody had one! At school i was an A grade music student and it always made the teacher laugh when we where given a practical asignment as i would be finished in no more than an hour when it was suppose to take 2 hours or sometimes a week,and id still always get a top mark,how i have no idea. I guess music really got serious for me when i left school and got a job and had the money to go to the music shop and buy what i call "toys" meaning synths and software,my first synth was a yamaha cs1x and a yamaha rm1x,i loved them both and spent hours just playing with them but not really making anything id call constructive,you see i have this thing,ill write a tune and then listen to it and if i think it sounds like something else it gets deleted,ive always had a desire to write original music which i hope is reflected in my songs today,i dont really work to a formula i just sit down with a pen and paper and with my synth and my mac and just let the ideas pour out,most of which never make it as a song but sometimes a magic moment will come out and those are the moments that you can hear.
