Vsevolod Shcherbakov is an electronic-neoclassical composer / producer who is based in a small green Russian town of Taganrog near the Sea of Azov. Vsevolod has been playing piano and violin since the age of 5. By the age of 15 he fell in love with modern electronic sound and melodic rock. Later he spent lots of time improvising on various themes and became quite strong as an improviser. Now he tries to combine the best elements of classical, electronic, progressive, rock and film music in his compositions. His main purpose is to get through to listeners’ mind and touch his deepest emotional strings with his music. He is rather fruitful as an improviser and composer. He is eager to know your opinion on his stuff and is open to any form of collaboration; especially as a game, TV and film composer. FIRST ALBUM "TEMPLE OF FIRE" CAN BE FOUND AT iTunes Music Stores, Amazon, Napster, eMusic, Rhapsody and GroupieTunes. [link="http://www.showcaseyourmusic.com/vsevolodn"]Vsevolod Shcherbakov's NeoClassical Showcase[/link] [link="http://www.myspace.com/vsevolods"]Vsevolod Shcherbakov's MySpace page[/link]
Some reviews "Kitaro, Vangelis, and Tangerine Dream wrestle with light sabres in a Pink Floyd lazer light show while Mozart conducts from a top a filigreed column draped in ivy. This lad is not afraid to write complex melodies riddled with arpeggios , and paint them brightly across the geography of the song .kudos! bravo! well done ! this work reminds me a bit of alan parsons back in the eighties." [link="http://iacmusic.com/stations/KIAC2723.htm"] Weird Stuff Radio[/link] "If you thought it was easy to produce synthetic music by just pressing a few buttons, sampling and looping you may be right ....BUT....listen to what this artist can do, he has gone far beyond the scope of most techno musicians. He learned 'real' music and 'real instrumentation first then interpeted it in a modern accessible way. The result here is an entire cross genre production with power, class and technique. What a skill!! What a future!!!" [link="http://iacmusic.com/stations/KIAC4162.htm"] DISCOVERY CHANNEL[/link] "Real sound contribution on interesting sequences that would have deserved a treatment of sound less banal." [link="http://iacmusic.com/Stations/KIAC3591.htm"]Film Music[/link] "We are so lucky to be able to listen to music like this and so lucky that young composers are finding ways to move Classical music to a new popular arena. The composition moves effortlessly through a spectrum of musical emotions. The instrumental pallette is large and so is the canvas. Any Father (or Mother) would be so honoured to have this amazing piece written as a tribute." [link="http://iacmusic.com/Stations/KIAC4164.htm"]JAW DROPPERS[/link] "A bit like Alan Parsons Project, really beautiful ..." [link="http://iacmusic.com/stations/KIAC3903.htm"]Electric Angel Radio[/link] "I love the title of this piece and the music didn't disappoint either. Uplifting and hopeful... and powerful... that about describes it" "Cool! Good energy and excellent choice of sounds. Uh oh... that woman seems pleased with things. Very interesting piece. It gives a such a variety of sounds and rhythms without overdoing it. It's "staion-worthy" for sure." [link="http://iacmusic.com/stations/KIAC1799.htm"]Musings[/link] "This is awesome, many upbeat flavors and little special sounds all over, kinda reminds me a bit like Yani but better." [link="http://iacmusic.com/stations/KIAC1553.htm"]BABY'S CRIB[/link]
Disclaimer: some of the mp3 files presented on this page are short internet versions of the songs; full completely remixed/remastered versions are soon to be released.
