Blas Ya Boy B’s music is a mix of Hip Hop, R&B, and Rap. All of Blas Ya Boy B’s music has a message…sometimes that message is of struggle and pain and overcoming adversity, other times it is of intimacy and emotion, and still others it’s a voice for the community. His music and lyrics have a unique quality in that they reflect his energy, inspiration, and creativity as well as tackling obstacles in life. Bryan’s songs are contagious. He can work a crowd from the Hamptons to Harlem—from Manhattan to Montauk. Whoever the crowd…Blas Ya Boy B gets people jumping, dancing, and going crazy to his music and wanting more! Blas, who was born in Ozone Park, New York in 1983 and raised on Long Island, is not an average person. He has a highly creative mind, looks for the positive in life, and inspires others. And his music and songs reflect this. His main inspiration in life was and still is his father, a hard working man, who has taught Bryan about hard work and devotion to his dreams. Blas was introduced to Hip Hop by his brother, when he was seven. He started writing lyrics when he was 12, and by 15, he was a Street Teamer at the Platinum and Ice Tour at the Nassau Coliseum, was introduced to a studio, and started recording under a record label. Many artists have inspired Blas in his music, including TUPAC, Jay Z, Naz, AZ, Naughty by Nature, Mobb Deep, Boot Camp Click, Onyx, and others. To date, Bryan has recorded over 45 songs in his own studio using ProTools recording program and keyboard for his music and adding vocals. He writes lyrics from slow jams to hard core Hip Hop. Most all Blas Ya Boy B’s songs are instant hits with club crowds! Blas has performed many shows since 18 to the present at clubs in New York City, Long Island, Florida, and Massachusetts including Tabboo in Orlando, Florida (at 18) where he opened the show for Trick Daddy and worked with the label JCR. At 18, Blas debuted his own show at Club Luhan in New York City and also performed at the Worster Club in Worster, Massachusetts where Joe Button opened for him. Blas Ya Boy B has since performed at the Foggie Goggle and the White House in the Hamptons several times where he opened up and shut down the show. He also performed at Club Spirit, Temple, and Club DuVet (where 50 Cent shot his video) in Manhattan as well as the Shrine in Harlem. Performances on Long Island so far include Bionco’s in Hauppauge and Shamrocks in Smithtown. Blas states, “No matter how hard my life has been, I know I’m still going to make it. Life is just real. I’m not a quitter. I play my own deck of cards and believe that if you have a dream, you can go for that dream no matter how many people tell you not to.” He was a kid at 15 and became an adult at 16, when he fathered his first son, Jeremy who is now 8. Ayden, his second son, is 4. Blas sees life for what it is, and says “Life is not about black and white.
