My band used to be called 'Catch The Bomb' many years ago. A friend has set up a myspace for the band so they're on there somewhere. We used to play a kind of music that was a bit of a pre-cursor to the kind of punk power-pop that you get now. Trouble is we did it in the late 80's when everyone was playing synthesisers and watery pop. We had publishing deals and used to play all over the place which resulted in no success but a lot of fun and stories to tell. The stuff we do now is basically a mixture of pop and rock with emphasis on tunes and songs using the classic drums, bass, guitar, piano mix. We very much write songs with the recording in mind, thus, the songs are very structured and do not really have that 'live' vibe to them. Still, there's a place for everything I think. Strangely, I love metal! My best bands are Slipknot and Korn. However, the technical ability required to play such songs is lacking in my band so we content ourselves with doing the simple stuff as well as we can and let the experts do their thing. I have no ambition for the songs I write but like the idea that someone may stumble across them and at least give them a listen. I don't really think we need the corporates telling us what to listen to anymore as its all there on the internet for us to find for ourselves!![link="http://www.myspace.com/panikstations"]
