Bio

Geeko is John Ambler (vocals and all guitars). After long years of gigging around the globe in several bands and working as a studio player in between his real job, John has decided to go it alone with a single music project. Geeko was born out of this goal. All the music is played and created by John using just a guitar with an old valve amp and various computer programmes in his home studio. With some 100 songs in the back catalog, John is creating new music this year (2007) so in the meantime the current songs will be older material. So the goal this time around is to go back to his earlier roots and musical influences and mixing them up with todays various styles and sonic soundscapes to create something different to what he has recorded before. John currently records with : Vocals - Joe Meek Microphone Guitars - Ibanez Jem 777MC, Yamaha Pacifica (Telecaster), Amp - Various Marshall,Vox and Orange setups Processor Modeling - Art SGX2000 (lots of fun from an old bit of kit!) Cool Edit Pro 2(pre - Adobe Audition!), Sonar, Reason 3, Antares Microphone modules.
