Facing Winter is an acoustic-rock trio from West Chicago, Illinois. The group's passionate sound is crafted by three long-time friends whose thoughtful songs appeal to many audiences. The band sounds like a blend of Elliott Smith, Radiohead, and Sunny Day Real Estate. Facing Winter's music combines inviting vocals and crisp guitars with an earthy rhythm section for a textured, yet simple sound. The trio's frontman is Justin Birchard, whose melodic voice and guitar are complimented by bassist Liam Doyle and drummer Jeff Goluszka. They've been together since late 2003.
