The members of the ANOMALOUS began playing together in late 1997 under the name OVER-FIEND with bassist MIKE JANELLE,drummer ROB CINAMI,Tony Bothelo (guitar), Sam Montes D'Oca (vocals) and second guitarist JOSH JENCKS, who joined the band in 2001.The band put out two cd's, "OVER-FIEND" (2000) and "SELF-MEDICATED DREAMS" (2001).As 2003/2004 rolled around the group split in half leaving MIKE,ROB and JOSH too reinvent and rename the band (due to legal reasons) "the ANOMALOUS" with extreme vocalist Pat Woods.By the summer of 2006 the ANOMALOUS had releashed three more cd's, "2 SONGS FOR FREE" (2004),"FIXATION ON THE NEGATIVE" (2005) and "IDIOCY SUPREMACY" (2006).In january of 2007 the ANOMALOUS became a trio leaving vocal duities up to the band on the eve of their up-comming cd,"GENTLY SMILING JAWS"(2007) out in the winter of 2007. This group has shared the stage with Killswitch Engage,Vital Remains,Tree,Deceased,Macabre,Enslaved,Beyond the Embrace and many more... - the ANOMALOUS is exceptionaly creative and uniquely extreme.Making music with all the intensity of a serial killer's stare and mixing it with a socio-cultural/poitical angenda while pushing themselves to freely express imagination through ART. Breathtaking stop-time insanity with a rhythmic connection that embraces chaos,confusion and complexity. . The band owns and operates it own screenprinting shop, We are able to produce and design our own Shirts, Stickers, Flyers/Posters, Banners, CD's and Covers. TOTALY D.I.Y. the Anomalous has a fresh approach to a new and unique sound. With a foundation that starts with hardcore, death, grind, rock, punk, jazz & metal.
