[color="darkblue"][b] [u]R U E[/u][/b][/color] Once in a great while, a brilliant young talent comes to the attention of the public; a talent that everyone can recognize and enjoy. Ramana Hazelwood, also known as "Rue" is one of those talents. Rue aka Rama is originally from the small island of Trinidad and Tobago. She is an aspiring artist with a great deal of interest in the field of music. Rue is a model, a composer and singer. As a little girl, she was fond of both music and dance, and since the young age of seven through eighteen, Rama danced ballet and graduated in 1999 from The Caribbean Royal Academy School of Dance, with United Kingdom recognition. She also went on to win in the year 2000, her high school beauty pageant and reigned for 1 year. She made her debut at the famous Queen's Hall, in Trinidad and had the audience thrilled for one week with her performance. One thing is that she is in time with the times, in every sense. She possesses a combination of rare musical abilities. Rama listens carefully and astutely to what occurs around her, and that inner experience is reflected in the feelings and expressions of her talents. Rama says she got her musical inspiration from great artists such as En Vogue, Patti Labelle, Whitney Houston. Rama, who is originally from Trinidad, is especially fond of her female idols Beyonce, Rihanna, and Jennifer Lopez sound, because of the diversity in their beats. She describes Rihanna as having a Caribbean Pop flavor which she can relate to. Rue's attitude towards her career took a serious turn when she started auditioning for lead positions with local bands. She then began performing with a local band called Eclipse. Rue also started writing her own material, and would take every opportunity she could get in the studio to record them. She had early voice training and sang with some very gifted leaders: Joey Lewis, big band Orchestra as well as a very talented girl band called "Soloettes." In 2005, Rue pursued greater opportunities, and was selected to tour Asia with an RnB band as a lead singer, where she performed 5 times per night in front of live audiences. Although Rama is young, she has great assertiveness, mature ideas, mature conceptions, and forthrightness and conviction in her career. In this musical demo, there is youth, virility and aggressiveness, combined with mellowness. She has proved herself to be among the great creative forces in modern music. Rama has one of the most exciting voices to be heard in today's music. When she is singing which is most of the time, she has the power to lift your soul right off the chair, while your body remains seated and relaxed.
