Born and raised in New Orleans, singer/songwriter Twumasi [i][pronounced "Chewma C"][/i] has always been surrounded by musical inspiration. This energetic youngster is already wowing audiences all over the southern region with his sultry vocals and creative performances, and still, Twumasi says that he wants more. "I just love music. I want to share it with the world, and have some kind of positive impact on today's society", says the young performer. That seems to be his biggest focus; bringing a light to an industry that isn’t always that positive. Over the past few years, this wholesome youngster has sung with the likes of the Neville Brothers, Shante Moore, and many other local artists, won numerous talent competitions, sang the National Anthem for numerous games, and has become a personal favorite to all who have heard him. Twumasi is also an accomplished pianist, and has also undergone classical and jazz vocal-training, which ultimately expanded his overall view of music. At 16, he competed in the nationally-televised show American Idol and advanced to the top 100. With his humble, charismatic personality on and off stage, his creative young mind, his strong vocals, and his undying will to succeed, Twumasi's future is very bright, indeed.
