In 2003 consisting of only a drummer and a guitarist, HaZarD was formed. Later that year the band was completed. Adding aspects such as a bassist, rhythm guitarist, and vocalist to the line-up. The 5 kids would call themselves HaZarD. The band would begin work on a new album and crank out singles like "Bad Part of Town." The days of being a complete band we're short lived, however. In February of 2005 newly added vocalist, Rhy Chermside, was forced to back down because of a transfer to Belgium leaving only 4 men standind. That summer bassist, Ross Rokita was kicked out of the band for undisclosed reasonsand guitarist Dan Bashir offered up his bass talents to replace Ross while lead guitarist AJ picked up the mic to once again round out the edges and become a three-piece band. With Mark Daly behind the kit, the band wrote new material and covered songs of influential bands like AC/DC and Nirvana. The trio would preform at scattered gigs through the year before the downfall in 2006. Drummer Mark Daly quits the band leaving AJ and Dan to continue to try and revive the what's left. At the same time on the otherside of the world, Rhy Chermside was playing in a band called The Rushers. The band took off in 2006, but eventually quieted back down. With this quiet time, Rhy Chermside backs off to start a solo project called Crashing High, but would later be renamed to simply Rhy Chermside. He began writing and recording hit singles like "Life is Loud," "Ace on the Rocks," "For the Last Time," and "FM Revolution." Meanwhile AJ continued work on HaZarD, writing new songs in the corner of his basement, while Dan expiremented playing bass in Musicals. In 2007 Rhy Chermside moved back to Saginaw and reunites with a dying HaZarD. That summer Contraband rises from the ashes of HaZarD. The new group quickly picks up the pen, working together on songs that both teams had written seperately adding flares from each background and bringing the songs to a new level. A new album is currently in the works and with Dan hiding behind a set of drums, the hunt for a consistant bassist is also high on the list of priorities. Until one is found both Rhy and AJ will be playing guitars and alternating lead vocals. Rhy will also be playing Keys and Synths. Since each member is versitle with music, they will rotate playing different instruments to add their own signature to a now all-too common way of performing on stage.
