Straddling the line between finely crafted ballads and fast-paced revenge anthems might not come easy to some, but the acoustic guitar-slinger who has come to be known as Johari has a talent for dichotomy. Andrew E. Ullman started composing late in 2001, with the intention of writing songs that were primarily biographical in nature. However, as time went on, Andrew's inspiration and imagination moved him to write about not only his personal and romantic involvements, but also fictional tales of a darker and more serious tone. Onstage, Andrew displays a ferocity that galvanizes even the most passive of spectators while maintaining a genuine sensitivity that truly resonates with listeners. With a list of influences as varied as the night is long, Johari runs the gamut of rock sub-genres. Johari combines undeniable lyricism with relentless fury and a dash of wistful angst to create a musical experience not to be missed and not soon to be forgotten. Andrew has recently returned home from the Johari 2007 Summer Tour, a month-long endeavour that spanned over 3500 miles and included nine cities. Both the tour and the three-track demo that supported it featured the talents of Gabriel Crane on bass guitar. The name Johari is registered to Andrew E.
