The band, RSR, formed originally from a twelve year solo effort from songwriter Brian Moyer. Lead singer/rhythm guitarist Brian Moyer joined with bassists Chris Walter in mid 2006 as an acoustic duo. But knowing the potential of the music, the two felt they needed more. In late 2006, Josh Tibbs (lead guitar) and Ernie Castaneda (percussion) joined to alter the music from low key acoustic rock to electric magnitude. With each member having a different musical style and taste, the sounds are blended together to form their original sound. With influences from country to hard rock/ alternative to pop-rock, the sound that defines RSR is original, yet catchy and familiar. With powerful vocals, screaming guitar, gentle rhythms, and powerful lyrics leading the feel of the song, anyone could relate to this music.
