_____ Born in Mexico City, this young fierceful Latina has devoted her life to embrace music. It all started when she was 7 and was introduced to the art of dancing by famous cuban coreographers Roberto & Mitzuko. The couple, who in the late 50’s were one of Cuba’s most famous cabaret headliners, became Lola's first role models and mentors, teaching her not only about techniques but about passion and love for music. Lola grew up listening and dancing to diverse genres which went from mexican boleros to flamenco, pop, rock, disco, r&b, hip hop, jazz and salsa! It was not until she first stepped on stage in a high-school competition when she knew she wanted to dedicate her life to entertainment. Being a virgo, she has always showed her strong commitment and unwavering passion to fulfill her dream. She entered Televisa’s music school “ Conceptos “ directed by mexican producer Luis de Llano who had been the creator of Timbiriche and while in there participated in different group projects. Later on she was auditioned by Antonio Berumen for his first boy-girl group called “ La Bomba “ . Berumen, at that time, was the man responsible for the success of Mexico's major boy bands. After a couple of months with the group, the adventurous singer and decided to pass on the opportunity in order to pursue a career as a solo artist moving to the U. S. in search of bigger and better opportunities. Lola was already familiar both with the culture and the language since she spent most of her summers as a child in Houston, Texas. It was time for Lola to try something new and edgy so she grabbed her savings, sold her car, packed her bag and moved to L.A. following her instinct and heart. Always embracing the pride of being latina, her vision is all about fussions, experimenting and taking risks. Combining music and dance , rythms and languages, beats and harmonies in the search of creating a style of her own . Once in Los Angeles the mexican singer and songwriter worked with different vocal coaches and recorded with different producers as well. It was in L.A. where she embraced her composition the most and wrote many songs that explored all the different emotions from her lifechanging experiences in California. Having a strong coreographic background, she enrolled in Millenium Dance Studio where she danced with the best jazz and hip-hop choreographers worldwide like Wade Robson & Colombus Short ( Britney Spears, Stomp the Yard ), Marty Kudelka ( Justin Timberlake ), Dante ( Missy Elliot ), Super Dave ( Beyonce), Rhino ( Gwen Stefani ), Shane Sparks (You've got served ), etc. While taking singing and dance lessons ,she started networking and met several producers, but there was always a barrier in understanding the cultural background and essence of Latin Music. Still in the search for a sound of her own and with destiny as her ally, Lola enrolled in one of the greatest adventures in her life and moved to Puerto Rico , la isla del encanto. The island has provided a breath of fresh air, new opportunities and new sounds. Having met and worked with great puertorrican musicians, producers and artists, among them, jazz composer William Cepeda, hip hop and reggaetton producers Noriega, Enkarnación, Jumbo and Tilo, talented hip hop and reggaetton artist La Sista’ , and Nabeel from Viva Nativa among others, Lola has been deeply touched and influenced by the warm, soultry and powerful spirit of the Caribbean. Proud of her blood, la familia and la casa, the latin brunette speaks spanish, english and dreams in spanglish. Open minded and self opinionated yet loyal to her essence, Lola represents a new generation that's influenced by both cultures but has an identity of its own, a generation that is fearless and free. myspace.com/lolavibemusic
