Sandavágur

Petur started out playing with Faroese rock band Visible Fish in the early 1990s. Bogi á Lakjuni and Eiler Hansen also played in VF. In 1998 Petur joined Bogi and Jón Tyril in a band called Clickhaze. Eivør Pálsdóttir, Jens L. Thomsen, Høgni Lisberg and later Mikael Blak played there as well. Clickhaze achieved national fame by winning Prix Føroyar 2001. They released an EP (aptly titled "EP") in 2002, toured in Denmark (including a performance at the Roskilde Festival), Sweden, Greenland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands. Clickhaze played their last show as opening act for the 2003 Prix Føroyar contest. Koma. In 2004 Petur started working with Eiler Hansen (whom he had played with in Visible Fish a couple of years earlier). They started outlining a few ideas for songs, basic structures and loose jams. Almost out of nowhere, three songs were suddenly born. This made them work even harder and they set out to make what was later to become Petur's debut solo album "Koma". In January 2005 Petur had succeeded in getting Uni Árting (drums), Niels Jákup í Jógvansstovu (bass), Knút Háberg Eysturstein (keyboards) and Bogi á Lakjuni (guitars, keyboards) to play on the project. Bogi also became the producer. Petur rented a basement belonging to a friend in Petur's hometown of Sandavágur, Faroe Islands. The band decided to record the music in this basement because of it's charismatic character. The album was released in November 2005 on independent Faroese label Tutl (www.tutl.com) All the lyrics on "Koma" are on Faroese as is the homepage, but they're working on an English version of the homepage which will definitely include the lyrics on English.
