BLESS Maestro was born Cyrus James in Monier, St Lucia, West Indies on 19th August 1982. His love for music really came about after Beenie man's "World Dance" and "Christmas". " I really respected Beenie man's artistical skills, so I decided to start writing my own." In 2003 he recorded a demo called "Lead & Coppa". The quality of recording wasnt great because all he had was a Dj called DJ Cleus who recorded it on his sound system. The song still got lots of radio play on local radio stations. Maestro went to Barbados in the mids of 2003 where he recorded 3 songs on Producer/ Artist Junior Killer's riddims,(Tightanium and Da Humm). In early 2004 he moved back to St Lucia and began working in the Tourism Industry. Maestro lives in England presently and he is still on the dancehall/reggae vibe. "I have my own home studio which is not much but I still manage to get a good quality recording with my equipment." Still dedicated to his music and what he does, (after thirteen years) Maestro has gone into making his own riddims/beats. "I have only just began building my own beats really and its been a success so far although I have only completed one. It's called "Big Dog Riddim" and there are two demo songs currently recorded on it"; "Ah Murder" sang by me and "By My Side" which is sang by Debz. Coming up in the music industry is not an easy task for any artist but Maestro is not only focused on writing lyrics and recording vocals.
