[color="black"][b]Derrick Lightbody aka ‘Bobby Sparks’, was born in Montego Bay, Jamaica, into a family of very musically talented people. In an era when the ordinary is considered exceptional and the average deemed brilliant, one encounters great difficulty in summoning words to quantify the incredible vocal gifts of this remarkable artiste. Bobby has had many years to develop these skills and it originated mainly from him singing in the hotels along the north coast of Jamaica. Then three years ago before coming to the UK, he ended an eight year spell on two of the biggest cruise ships in the Caribbean. Bobby’s first career move in England started with him entering X-Factor Last year 2006, where Simon wanted him to be the first reggae singer on the show, But at boot camp his hopes were dashed after Sharon made her final selection. His disappointment was short lived as he was invited to a studio the very next day; to begin what is now his first album and video. “Changing Times”, this album, Roots and culture, rock reggae based, spells ‘Class’ reggae at its best.
