Bio

Born in St. John's, Newfoundland, Mark now calls Elmsdale, Nova Scotia his home. There is no doubt that there is salt water in his blood and in his songs. Mark was front man for a couple Halifax based indie bands that had some success in the 90's. His first band the "[color="red"]Tall Poppies[/color]" recorded an EP and also contributed a song on the "Out of the Fog Too" compilation. While with "[color="blue"]booming airplanes[/color]" he recorded an EP and two full lengh albums along with several music videos. He has had the priviledge of opening for acts such as Spirit of the West, Skydiggers and Wild Strawberries. His musical influences include REM, Grapes of Wrath, Blue Rodeo, The Hip, Radiohead, Tom Petty, Neil Young and many more. Mark is currently focusing on writing and recording demos for his forthcoming album, "Heart On My Sleeve".
