Bio
In the music industry, we can never underestimate the power of new artists. They are the new blood that brings energy and income to the recording industry. This is the same philosophy that applies to Afro-Connection; nobody can ever underestimate our power and swagger. Afro-Connection was founded in 2007 by KHALIL, LANCE, BMC, and DEDE. BMC is from Senegal. He is a full-time college student majoring Music Industry Study and Technology Focus at the University of Colorado. LANCE, KHALIL & DEDE are originally from Guinea Conakry in west Africa. We met when Khalil and Lance heard BMC’s music at his brother’s shop, then we recorded two hot tracks called Joggyti Mic and BMC is the One.” We performed several shows together and it was amazing. The crowd love us and then we decided to form a group. Since we are all from Africa but in different area, therefore, we came up with the name “Afro-Connection” Afro-Connection is four hungry united hustlers from the motherland. Music is our destiny and it is what gets us going! The art form of music is known as a savior of mankind. Dead and ill people react to it and it has been said to revive people in a coma. An example of this transformation can be seen in our abilities to unify as Africans and create songs from our African and American spirits, and convert them into lyrics and accompanying music wether it is Hip Hop, Reggae, Dance-hall, Afro-beat, R&B, Soul, or Rock&roll; we are crossover recording artists that not just making the music that sells but delivering tunes that move your soul. Our influences are Bob Marley, KSR One, Positive Black Soul, De La Soul, Rakim, Fugees, etc. We are straight from west Africa. We have been rapping since 1998 back home before we came to the United States for education and to pursue our music career in here. We have collaborated with other African big name artists such as Fafadi, Baxow, Tapha, etc. Now this is our first album, “Reach My Goalz,” which symbolizes our artistic vision and how we are living in the United States. Afro-Connection’s slogan is “Holding Up Africa.” This is our artistic vision, and this is our goal. We are connected not just to make music but to fight poverty, disease, corruption in Africa and round the world. If you buy this album “Reach My Goalz,” you are helping us to make Africa and the world a better living and peaceful place. This is Afro-Connection’s gaolz. PEACE & LOVE!!!
