80's baby, Born and raised in Brooklyn N.Y as Quinnel Sylvester. X-Tra began writing songs by the age of 8 yrs. old while in class goin by the name "Mad Dog" "I started out back in the TDK days, my sister and I use to tape our favorite singles off the radio or buy the albums and sit there and listen to the song word for word to write down and learn the lyrics to our favorite songs". Given the name X-Tra for his tenedecy to always be active and over the edge, by the his fellow Midwood residers he took the name and gave it a whole new meaning. X-Tra has grown and emerged through out the years changing his style and melodic apporoach to the music industry he has formed his own family taking the title "General" into his own hands. Now carrying the weight of X. F Records and his own career as well as the race to put Brooklyn back on the map he moves at a fast pace with a cautious and steady approach. He has worked with artist such as Bandy Leggz, Screechy Dan and Terry Felicia of Artical One productions, the infamous hustlin x-mix with Rick Ross, Me And U with Cassie and I love my Bitch with Busta Rhymes, Honey dip with J. R Writer and Juelz Santana and many more. He has released projects such as "X-Tra Times Issue 1-2", "Frustration and Rage" and his new and upcoming project "X-Files Case 1. (The X-Mixes) " Working on projects with many different artist as well as producers X-Tra is looking to hit the industry hard and fast enough to flip the game upside down.
