Name: C.A.U.T.I.O.N. C.A.U.T.I.O.N. is an acronym that stands for: Critical Association Under The Influence Of No one. C.A.U.T.I.O.N. has been writing, creating, composing, mixing, and producing music since the age of 13. C.A.U.T.I.O.N. has written over a 1000 songs and put out 4 CD's ("C.A.U.T.I.O.N.", "Da Laboratory", "Ripple Effect", & “Anti-Industry”) locally in the last decade. C.A.U.T.I.O.N. was also a featured artist on the On the Block Records Compilation, “State of Emergency" already in stores. C.A.U.T.I.O.N. currently has two new albums to be released in 2006, "Different Sides Same Story" (an East coast / West coast collaboration with Cause-N-Effect recording artist “Tragic Affairs”, and his latest creation the, "Supply-N-Demand". But C.A.U.T.I.O.N. isn't just a rapper, he is a published author of two books on juvenile incarceration and injustice, he is a motivational speaker, and has spoken at over one hundred schools k-12, colleges, universities, and jails, in local and surrounding areas (Oakland California & New York, New York). C.A.U.T.I.O.N. has illustrated a children's book for a non-profit organization (Focus on the Children). C.A.U.T.I.O.N. is a mentor and youth advocate. He is a phenomenal slam poet, and had the opportunity of opening up for famous slam poets "Saul Williams" and Piece (2003). C.A.U.T.I.O.N. is an airbrush painter, a graphic and sketch artist, a recording engineer, a music producer, and owner of Caution Studios (recording studio), Cause-N-Effect Wrecards (Indie record label), & Paw Print Productions (productions and graphics label). In 2001 an article was published about the talented young artist named C.A.U.T.I.O.N., in the August issue of a popular Hip/Hop Magazine "XXL" (page 42). C.A.U.T.I.O.N. was featured in an article in the "Blu" magazine in 2001 (page 6). In 2002 C.A.U.T.I.O.N. was published in an article from the Evergreen State College (Olympia, WA) about his rapping activism (pages 12-13). On November 4th 2001 C.A.U.T.I.O.N.'s MVP message drew attention of "Fox News" and Spokane newspaper "Spokesman Review"(page B3). C.A.U.T.I.O.N. has participated with the Midnight Basketball Association (a program designed to keep kids safe at night.) He has given slam poetry and M.C. workshops to youths in schools, Y.M.C.A.'s, and Boys and Girls Clubs. C.A.U.T.I.O.N. performed at "YoYo a GoGo” 2001 (Olympia). He opened up for Medusa at the Urban Arts Fest 2001. In 2004 C.A.U.T.I.O.N.'s affiliations with "Sound Scientists" and "Gear Up" landed him in the local newspaper (The Olympian) again. December 26th, 2004 C.A.U.T.I.ON. was back in "The Olympian" ... [C.A.U.T.I.O.N.] became an influential member of Men's Violence Prevention Music Project and toured the Northwest with Denny in 2001. Denny had heard by word of mouth about a talented performer from Tacoma, Washington known as: [C.A.U.T.I.O.N]. Denny was impressed when he first saw [C.A.U.T.I.O.N.] tell his story through slam poetry. "He's very unusual for a rapper," said Todd Denny, founder of the Men's Violence Prevention program. "He sings and raps about songs that make a difference, songs that have a consciousness to them, that have a political flavor. Not the typical money and 'hoe's and cars." "He literally is one of the best in the world," Denny said. In 2005 C.A.U.T.I.O.N. laced the local scene a lyrical dose with a three day CD release party, spanning three cities (Tacoma, Lakewood, & Olympia, WA) promoting his latest smash album, “Anti-Industry”. Guest appearances from Def Jam comic “Speedy” from L.A. kept the shows alive with spirit and comedy. C.A.U.T.I.O.N. has performed at many venues in the past five years; Tacoma Community College, Café Arizona, Press Room, The City, Bar Code, Area 151, RPM, Papaya’s, Red Dragon, Goldie’s, Pounders, Maniam, Central Washington University, Evergreen State College, Cargo Bay, KAOS Radio, and many others. In 2005 C.A.U.T.I.O.N. performed at the "Northwest City 2 City Exposure Tour", "1st Annual Haters Ball", the Evergreen State College's "Welcome Back Dance", the "Duna" Album release party, the "Devin the Dude" show, "Hip Hop Halloween Horror Party", Urban Network’s “Northwest Explosion”, the "T-Nutty" record release party, "C.A.U.T.I.O.N.'S Birthday Bash", the "Pimp Juice" show and "The City" (New York City, New York). This year (2006) C.A.U.T.I.O.N. hasn’t let up one bit. He’s performed over 15 times in this January and February, and has an interview broadcasted every Tuesday and Thursday on Urban Streets T.V.. (for the month of February). This year C.A.U.T.I.O.N. and his Indie Label, “Cause-N-Effect Wrecards” have just released their first Compilation Album “Ovadose” with great success!. The “Ovadose” compilation spotlights Cause-N-Effect Recording Artists and their unique individuality. Currently C.A.U.T.I.O.N. is constructing his latest album, “Friction” scheduled for release in the summer of 2006.
