Hello to all. Thanks for taking the time to check this page out. I'm Slant, and I just arrived at this site, so please bear with me. I've uploaded one of my original tunes to get started. The recording isn't the best quality, but it's what I have available right now. I will be putting some more songs, as well as some pictures, on here very soon. As for video, I'm working on that, too. I'm a singer/songwriter/guitarist, and I'm just trying to get my music, and me, out there. I believe I have a lot to share with the world, and this is only the beginning. I started writing "Early Travels" about a trip I made with my buddy Dave, from Calgary, Alberta to Enderby, British Columbia in the late 70's. We hitch-hiked out of Calgary with forty cents between us. Ahh, good times! I finished the song in 1986, while living aboard my boat, "Shiely", in Sidney, B.C. "The Ocean's Soul" is a song I co-wrote a few years back with Kimo, a fellow member of "Taks & Jak". It's become one of my favorites! Dimitri Brunelle-Derome plays six-string with me and also handled the recording. (He gets credit for engineering the other songs here, too, as well as playing sax on "The Road"). I hope you like it!
