Black Labol first became interested in music at the young age of 13. He was given a tape in the summer of 1995 of what was then underground Latin Rap. This homemade mixed tape featured Vico C, Eddie Dee, Mexicano and Benny Blanco, all of which are no now considered to be legendary pioneers of this genre of music. By the end of the 90 minute tape, Black Labol was born. Black Labol feels that he did not choose a particular form of music, but rather it chose him. As he revealed himself as an artist, he found that Reggaeton and Latin Hip-Hop was the perfect vehicle for him to say what he wanted to say without all the “cush”. In his opinion, it has become perfect outlet and voice of the youth today. Black Labol acknowledges that this style of music is like speaking the truth. “You cannot be fake in the genre of music, you have to live it in real life and suffer the struggle in your own flesh and blood.” “You gotta live it to be able to sell it!” He explained. Right now working with one of the most talent Music producer of the new age, Luis D. Hernandez aka "Dj Prietoblack", this team of dominicans been making all people dance so wild and enjoy every beat of their music.
