Resides in Charlotte since 2002.Has one sister & two older brothers.Yung Smurf has been rapping since the age of 11. Growing up surrounded by negativity including:drugs,verbally,mentally & mother abuse,gangs,rape,murder & guns.Lost his best friend(Eric Randall Armstrong) to a police shooting in June 06. Yung Smurf quickly developed a natural talent and love for music.He taught himself how to be an man at a early age because father wasnt there for him.He started writing his songs at the age of 14. Yung Smurf has had alot of influences growing up by older first cousin J.B Da Mesenga then later on his older brother Lil' O bka OvaCumma.But also developed his singing habits from mostly all his family on his mother side. He has been blessed to be able to express all the hard times & real life in his music. He is much compared to artist Lil' Wayne and other greats. He has the potential to become of the greatest of all time.He is a former gang member of the Infamous Westside Rollin Sixtie Neighborhood Crips in Crenshaw District,California. But life in the Crips wasnt easy at all. Being the leader role he always carried made him more of an individual then a deadly title always behind.
